- The Entrepreneurship Alliance Incorporated (WVEAI) collaborates
with the Beckley Technology Group. Members of both groups work
together to create a 'rising tide' for all technology opportunities.
WVEAI also works closely with the Nick Rahall II Technology Center
at Concord University in Athens, WV where really incredible
research, entrepreneurship and opportunities are being born.
Capital Access:
- Much discussion has been taking place among WVEAI members as
to what type of venture capital and angel investing environment is
emerging in West Virginia. Members are excited and working with a
leading group of angel investors that will participate in seed capital
matchmaking scheduled October 22 at the Create WV Conference.
Marketing:
- For most small businesses, highly effective marketing is a make-or-
break necessity. It's really impossible for you to be successful
without good marketing and there are many great articles and
organizations in West Virginia to assist you.
Entrepreneurial Education:
- There is a current shift in K-12 education from a culture of
compliance, states experts from Stanford technology Ventures
Program. West Virginia is actively implementing entrepreneurship
in public schools through projects such as Dreamquest.
Public Policy:
- Certainly, public policy has had a significant impact on
entrepreneurs providing research & development to multiple
opportunities throughout the state that encourage business
development.
